Rewarding Yourself for Being Frugal

ribbon

Being frugal is hard work. Cutting coupons, planning out shopping trips, and visiting multiple stores each and every week can be tedious – from experience I can say it is much easier to go to any store, put anything you want into the cart, and then drive home with your purchases.

Do you ever give yourself a “treat” for your efforts?*

Here are some ways you can reward yourself for saving money:

Use store rewards to “splurge” on something you like. Items like these items can be bought (usually on sale and with a coupon!) with store rewards:

  • Makeup
  • Nail Polish
  • Hair Accessories
  • Candy Bars
  • Ice Cream
  • Picture Frames
  • Arts & Crafts Items

Put aside cash in a jar equal to the amount of money you save each time you shop – then use that money to do something you enjoy. Even if you just count the amount saved by using coupons, you’ll discover it adds up fast!!!!) Use the money you save to:

  • Get a massage
  • Eat out with friends
  • Buy new clothes
